Man working on apartment building repairs reported as a shooting

The reports of a male with an assault rifle was actually a male working on repairs in a Whitney Young Estates apartment building, according to Montgomery County dispatch.

The male was working on repairs using a nail gun at the apartments located in the 4400 block of Germantown Pike.

FIRST REPORT:

A person was reportedly shot in Dayton Saturday around 2:45 p.m.

Police were dispatched the Whitney Young Estates apartments in the 4400 block of Germantown Pike.

According to regional dispatchers, there was a report of a male with an assault rifle but it’s unclear if anyone was taken into custody.
