HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Authorities are investigating an aggravated burglary and shooting in Harrison Township on Tuesday.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies were initially called to the 5500 block of Brantford Road on reports of a burglary and theft of firearms on Monday, according to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.
Upon arrival, the homeowner reported that multiple firearms had been stolen.
On Tuesday, deputies were called back to the same location after receiving reports of a shooting, the spokesperson said.
The homeowner told deputies that he had confronted two male suspects who had entered his home. During the confrontation, shots were fired, and the suspects fled on foot.

Deputies located two individuals in the area, and one of them was suffering from a gunshot wound.
The injured suspect was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was later released from the hospital and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.
Deputies identified additional suspects and executed search warrants at multiple locations in Trotwood, the spokesperson said.
A vehicle believed to be involved in the burglary was recovered, and several people were detained.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
