OHIO — The Ohio Senate has approved a resolution calling on U.S. Congress to make daylight saving time permanent.

The resolution’s sponsor, Sen. Kristina Roegner, called daylight saving time “government induced jet lag.”

The resolution is one of several bills approved by state legislators calling on congress to pass its Sunshine Protection Act of 2019. President Donald Trump has said he’s in favor of the idea.

Daylight saving time is March 8.
