Motorcyclist hurt in crash with semi on I-70 W in Clark County

A motorcyclist was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital Friday night following a crash with a semi sometime before 10:15 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 between Ohio 4 and Interstate 675.

The crash shut down the interstate for nearly an hour.

The motorcycle rider’s name, age, hometown and condition were not immediately available.

The crash is under investigation by the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Traffic is moving on westbound Interstate 70 following a crash involving a semi and motorcycle near I-675 in Mad River Twp., Clark County.

FIRST REPORT

The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 are closed at I-675 tonight for a crash involving a semi and motorcycle.

The crash happened sometime before 10:15 p.m.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene, the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed, but it’s not clear how many people are injured nor the severity of injuries.

The interstate is shut down between Ohio 4 and I-675 in Clark County.
