Sidney murder suspect could face life in prison

A Sidney murder suspect could face life in prison if he is convicted in the killing of Lance Johnson.

The trial for Troy McRae Jr. began Monday with jury selection and opening statements began today. McRae is accused of stabbing Johnson 10 times.

The first few witnesses took the stand this morning, including a Sidney police detective and an agent from BCI.

The jury has six men and six women on it.

The trial is expected to last for the remainder of this week.
