A Cincinnati woman who admitted to accepting money from her cousin, who then sexually abused a toddler in her care, was sentenced Monday in federal court to 11 years in prison.

Ciera Richter in June pleaded guilty to conspiracy to produce child pornography. Federal prosecutors said her cousin, Jason Fletcher of Franklin, paid her for access to a 2-year-old girl Ciera was babysitting in her home, which at the time was in Dayton.

Richter was sentenced in Cincinnati by U.S. District Court Judge Susan Dlott.

Fletcher used cough medicine to sedate the child, prosecutors said, used a cell phone to photograph her while she was in the bath and took video of himself touching her as she cried and slept, prosecutors said.

The sentencing judge also recommended Richter participate in substance abuse treatment, residential drug abuse treatment, G.E.D. and cosmetology apprenticeship programs, according to our news partners at wcpo.com.

According to the sentencing documents, Richter, 25, will spend 10 years under supervision once she's released from prison.

In January, Fletcher, then 41, was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

In December 2017, a federal grand jury indicted Richter and Fletcher.
