Around 7:30 p.m. Dayton fire crews were called to the first block of Colley Avenue for reports of a fire, according to Dayton Police and Fire on social media.
A family called for help after they got in their home and smelled burning, according to District Chief of the Dayton Fire Department Matt McClain.
McClain said the family found smoke in one of the bedrooms.
The family, a woman, and three children, ran out of the home.

A child was left inside and was later rescued by the woman, McClain said.
The child was taken to the hospital due to minor injuries from smoke inhalation.
The woman was treated for smoke inhalation on scene and did not want to be taken to the hospital.
The fire was contained to a room on the first floor of the home, according to fire officials.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but McClain offered a reminder about running heaters in the winter.
“Always like to remind everybody if you do have a space heater in your house make sure you have at least three feet of distance between any kind of curtains, blankets, clothing, things like that,” he said.
