Snow, rain likely to impact morning commute

Snow showers and rain will impact drivers this morning, and  another round of rain will impact commuters heading home today, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini.

Rain showers will mix and change to snow this morning. Most activity will fall from 6 and 9 a.m. The best chance for any snow is north of Interstate 70.

Most roads will stay above freezing, but driving in the light snow showers may reduce visibility.

Temperatures will climb into the 50s for the afternoon, which means only rain will fall later today. Rain will start to move back in with some heavier downpours possible and gusty winds for the evening commute. Drivers should take their time coming to and from work making sure to go slow and leave plenty of space between cars.
