Today marks the final day of the NFL’s regular season and the Bengals needed two things to happen to make it to the playoffs: a Denver Broncos loss to the Kansas City Chief and a Miami Dolphins loss to or tie with the New York Jets.
The Broncos put an end to the Bengals’ season with a 38-0 win over the Chiefs, who were without several key players including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones.

With their win against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, the Bengals finished their season with a five-game winning streak. The late-season turnaround has bumped their chances of making the playoffs, but they still needed the help to get into the postseason.
Cincinnati finished their season 9-8, ending up third in the AFC North.
