“I don’t understand why someone would want to do this to him,” she told News Center 7’s Katy Andersen on Thursday. “I want justice. I want to know this murderer is not running around putting other people in danger.”

Jennifer Ciboch spoke with News Center 7 nearly three weeks after her son was shot on Germantown Pike while in his car with someone she described as a new friend.

“They had told me that people were after the guy my son was with and it was supposed to be him and not my son. I think he was in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong person,” she said.

Dayton police went public Thursday and asked anyone who knows anything or has any information about the circumstances of the shooting to call 937-333-COPS or Miami Valley Crime Stoppers at 937-222-STOP to remain anonymous.

Crimes Stoppers does offer a cash reward for information leading to an arrest, Dayton police said.
