SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Fire Rescue Division has released their total and per day average calls for the month of December.

The division responded to 1607 calls throughout the month, according to their social media post.

The division averaged 51.8 runs per day, the post says.
Of those calls, over 1300 of them were for EMS services, the division says.
There were 39 fire calls, 12 of which were building fires, 6 were car fires and 21 were minor fires, the division says.
This month also had the first fatal fire for the division since April 2023.
