SPRINGFIELD — A Miami Valley native is joining the Savannah Bananas.

Gage Voorhees, of Springfield, will be playing for the Bananas for their 2025 Banana Ball World Tour.

Voorhees graduated from Northwestern High School. He went on to play at Cedarville University, Sinclair Community College, and Flagler College.
The pitcher is familiar with the Bananas organization. He previously played as a collegiate Banana in the Coastal Plains League and was a member of the organization’s developmental team for six games this year.
The Savanah Bananas will begin their 2025 tour in February. They’ll be making a stop at Great American Ball Park on June 13 and 14.
