Springfield police asking for help identifying hit-skip crash vehicle

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Police Division is reaching out to the public for help identifying a hit-skip crash vehicle.

According to police, the hit skip crash happened on January 7th a little after 9 a.m., at Spring Street and Selma Road.

Video was captured of the accident from a Springfield Police cruiser dash cam.

The officer had to stop to make sure the people in the victim truck were okay, police said. The officer radioed ahead, but responding officers were not able to locate the suspect vehicle.

Police said the suspect vehicle may be a silver or gray Honda Pilot.

The police department also released three screen captures, showing the profile and back of the suspect vehicle, along with a picture of possible damage to the front right wheel well/quarter-panel.
