The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that a trooper attempted a traffic stop on the 2015 Chrysler 300 after witnessing it commit multiple traffic violations on Salem Avenue around 1:41 a.m.

“The driver turned onto Madison Avenue and was slow to stop, later continuing at a gradual speed onto Evansville Avenue. At 1:42 AM, the vehicle turned north onto Klepinger Avenue and then accelerated rapidly away from the trooper,” Lieutenant Dallas Root said.

The trooper decided to not chase after the car and stopped contact when they lost sight of it.

Not long after that, troopers and Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies found the Chrysler at the intersection of Klepinger and Turner Roads.

An investigation showed that the car ran a stop sign at the intersection and then crashed into the tree line.

Two individuals were detained as part of the investigation.

Root said that a determination of charges will be submitted for review by the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office once the investigation is finished.
