TROY — Festivities surrounding the Troy Strawberry Festival kick off tonight with the Strawberry Jam.
At 5 p.m., Troy Mayor Robin Oda and Troy Chamber of Commerce ambassadors will kick off the event with a ribbon cutting. After that, they will dye the water in the fountain at Public Square.

Live music will be playing from 6-9 p.m. Shay Hayden will be playing from 6-6:45 p.m. and The Growlers Band will take the stage at Prouty Plaza from 7-9 p.m.
Downtown shops will be open late and the restaurants around the square are open. Additionally, a number of Strawberry Festival vendors will be available.
The city’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area ordinance will remain in effect for the event.
The Strawberry Jam runs until 9 p.m. The Strawberry Festival runs from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
