Stretch of dangerous heat continues; when we could see relief

DAYTON — The Miami Valley is facing its longest run of temperatures in the 90s since 2012.

Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Austin Chaney has been tracking this lengthy stretch. He will have the latest on what to expect LIVE on News Center 7 at 11.

It doesn’t look like there is relief from humidity and heat anytime soon.

Heat is expected to continue into the weekend, with heat indexes of over 100.

Current models do not show temperatures dropping below 90 until Monday, June 24.

The bad news is that they are expected to return on Tuesday.
