CEDARVILLE — A Cedarville University student is among those presumed dead after an Army helicopter collided with an American Airlines flight that was on approach to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport near Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night.

News Center 7′s Amber Jenkins spoke to students about the loss.
The university identified the student as Grace Maxwell, 20, a mechanical engineering major.
Maxwell had returned home to Wichita, Kansas to attend her grandfather’s funeral, according to the university.

“Grace was a quiet person with a keen interest in helping others through engineering,” said Dr. Tim Norman, who served as her secondary advisor.
The university says Grace was getting ready to work on a project to build a special hand device for a Dayton boy, so he could feed himself.
University leadership will address the campus during the all-campus chapel program on Friday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m.
Counseling services are available for students needing their services, the university said.
