Summer Restaurant Week kicks off in the Miami Valley

Summer Restaurant Week has returned to the Miami Valley, allowing local restaurants to show off their dishes through three course meal deals.

The 19 participating restaurants will be offering three course meals for $20.21, $25.21, or $30.21, according to the Miami Valley Restaurant Association.

The week-long event is going on despite the labor and staffing shortages that have impacted many restaurants across the country.

Multiple restaurant managers told News Center 7′s Michael Gordon that they were dealing with staffing issues.

“We have the same issues as other people and life happens and when you are short staff everyone has to step up and fill that gap,” Beth Vandenburg, co-owner of Florentine Restaurant in Germantown, said.

Summer Restaurant Week begins Sunday, July 25 and runs through August 1.

The following restaurants will be participating:

  • Bunkers Sports Bar & Grill, 893 E. National Road, Vandalia
  • Carver’s Steak & Chops, 1535 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Centerville
  • Chappy’s Social House, 7880 Washington Village Drive, Centerville
  • Chop House, 7727 Washington Village Drive, Dayton
  • El Cake Co, 810 E. Dixie Drive, Dayton
  • Figlio, 424 E. Stroop Road, Kettering
  • Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, 3500 Rigby Road, Miamisburg
  • Hickory River Smokehouse, 135 S. Garber Drive, Tipp City
  • Jay’s Seafood, 225 E. Sixth St., Dayton
  • Meadowlark Restaurant, 5531 Far Hills Ave., Dayton
  • Nick’s Restaurant, 1443 North Detroit St., Xenia
  • Pasha Grill, 72 Plum St., Beavercreek
  • Rip Rap Roadhouse, 6024 Rip Rap Road, Dayton
  • Smith’s Boathouse Restaurant, 439 N. Elm St., Troy
