SIDNEY — A female was CareFlighted after leading police on a high-speed chase and crashing when she fled the scene of a suspected fight in a McDonald’s drive-thru at 12:42 a.m. Sunday.

Sidney police say the female who was driving a grey Scion in the drive-thru line of McDonald’s was believed to have started a fight and struck another person.
She told officers that she was not involved in the incident and lied twice about who she was, according to the Sidney Police Department.
When police asked her to pull into a parking spot, she fled the scene and led cruisers on a high-speed pursuit with speeds exceeding 90 mph.

The pursuit ended when the suspect ran off the road and crashed into the woods at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Campbell Road. Her injuries required her to be taken by CareFlight, but it is unclear exactly how severe they were.
Investigators say charges are pending in regard to the incident, but details on the type of charges are unavailable.
