Charges dropped against juvenile connected to T-Mobile robbery

Two men indicted

DAYTON — Charges were dropped against a juvenile connected to the armed robbery of a Miami Twp. T-Mobile store.

The 17-year-old also has been released from the Juvenile Detention Center, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office.

After reviewing the current available evidence, the prosecutor’s office decided that charges should be dismissed.

Two adult suspects in the robbery, James R. Jackson IV, 19, and Tamaurie Kinney, 18, were indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on Oct. 26.

Charges included two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of kidnapping and one count of obstructing official business.

The pair are accused of robbing a Miamisburg Centerville Road T-Mobile store with guns and masks on Oct. 16.

Video surveillance showed four people in masks and hooded sweatshirts take items off shelves in the store.

They then fled in a green car before crashing on the I-75 north Edwin C. Moses Boulevard Ramp near the University of Dayton Arena.

Jackson and Kinney pleaded not guilty to charges Tuesday and bond was set at $100,000.

They are being held in the Montgomery County Jail.

The investigation and identification of other people involved is ongoing, according to the prosecutor’s office.
