Suspicious bag prompts police investigation in Xenia

XENIA — Xenia police are investigating a suspicious bag that was located on South Galloway Street Friday afternoon.

Officers were requested around 1 p.m. to the 100 block of South Galloway Street after a caller reported the bag might contain drugs, according to emergency scanner traffic.

Investigators from the Ohio BCI were on the and placing items from the bag into white buckets.

Officers remain on scene and have placed crime scene tape up in the area.
