JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP — UPDATE @ 1:30 p.m.:
Two people were arrested after a SWAT standoff in Jefferson Township.

Around 10:15 a.m. deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home in the 100 block of Cherokee Drive for a domestic dispute, according to Montgomery County Sheriff Rob Streck.
When deputies got on scene they found a woman with a head injury.

They learned the man accused of hurting her had barricaded himself in a bedroom, which prompted SWAT to be called.
Streck said the man allegedly had abused a dog which led to an argument with the woman that turned physical.
