HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Seven people were detained after a “high-risk” search warrant in Harrison Township Friday morning.

The Montgomery County Regional SWAT Team, Montgomery County RANGE Task Force, and Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force conducted the search warrant at a home in the area of Neva Drive and N. Dixie Drive.

The task forces had been looking into activity at the house and had gathered enough information that they were ready to serve a search warrant.

There were concerns about potential weapons, and because of the large number of people in the home, the SWAT team also came in, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Maj. Jeremy Roy said.

When loudspeakers were used to demand everyone to come out of the house, six people came out right away. One man stayed inside, and eventually, SWAT team members used tear gas and were able to go safely inside and arrest him.
