3 taken to hospital after Harrison Twp. rollover crash

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @ 10:15 p.m.:

Three people were trapped in their vehicles during a late-afternoon rollover crash that sent all three crash victims to a local hospital.

The crash was reported just before 4:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of North Main Street near Castlewood Avenue.

Preliminary investigation reveals a black 2013 Ford Escape was traveling east from a private drive when the driver failed to yield the right of way and entered the southbound lanes of North Main Street. The Escape was struck by a silver 2008 Pontiac G6, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The impact caused the Escape to flip onto its passenger side, trapping the driver and passenger. The Pontiac driver also was trapped.

None of the three adult victims suffered life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Three people were taken to area hospitals today following a two-vehicle rollover crash.

Two people riding inside an overturned Ford Escape were trapped and had to be cut from the vehicle after the crash, reported around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and Castlewood Avenue in Harrison Twp.

North Main Street was shut down after the crash, and will remain so until crews can clear the wreckage.

None of the injuries are considered life-threatening, according to Harrison Twp. fire officials.

The crash is under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
