Teen indicted for fatal shooting of 15-year-old in Harrison Twp.

HARRISON TWP. — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a teen charged in connection to the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old in Harrison Township earlier this year.

On Tuesday, the Montgomery County Grand Jury indicted 18-year-old Jamie Abrams on counts related to the shooting death of J’Yon Kolby-Lee Manson-Coleman, according to a release from Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck Jr.

Sheriff deputies were responding to an unrelated call on May 13, 2021 when they spotted a man bleeding from his head and yelling for help, the release said.

The victim told deputies a second person had been shot blocks away. Deputies went to the intersection of Madison Avenue and Michigan Avenue and found Manson-Coleman dead inside of a car.

Manson-Coleman had been shot multiple times, the release said.

Abrams was indicted on four counts of murder, four counts of felonious assault, and four counts of aggravated robbery.

All of the counts include 3‐year firearm specifications.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Abrams, who is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 8:30 a.m.
