When officers got to the scene, the mall was placed on lockdown, a parameter was set up, and it was determined that there was no threat to the public.
911 callers told dispatchers that the teen involved was inside The Buckle, but had reportedly left the scene before police arrived.
On Monday, police shared two security photos of a group of males inside the mall and said they believed one of them was the one who was injured. They’re asking for help identifying those in the photos.
As reported on News Center 7 at 5:00, concerned shoppers won’t be surprised if security is raised at the mall.
“There’s no metal detector, so maybe it’s gonna come to that,” Dan Myers, of Miami Twp., said.
Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to contact Detective Johnson at (937) 531-4064.
