MORAINE — Exterior work on the Miami Valley’s first Tesla service center and charging station appears to be close to completion, but an opening date for the location has not been announced yet.
Construction crews were installing Tesla logos and wordmarks on the former Staples store located at 1927 W. Dorothy Lane near the Walmart Thursday.

The new location will have bays, where technicians can work on vehicles, Moraine city leaders told News Center 7. It also will have charging stations in the parking lot.
News Center 7 has reached out to Tesla for more information on how many jobs the location will bring and when the center plans to open.
Tesla currently has service centers in Ohio in Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo.
