News Center 7 talked to customers who got emotional as they shared their memories about their favorite restaurant.

The restaurant’s parking lot was packed, and employees eventually had to turn customers away as they ran out of food.

“We came yesterday, they were out hot fudge cakes,” Xenia resident LaDonna McKinley said.

McKinley brought her family to Frisch’s on Wednesday and will be back on Friday, even if they run out of food.

“I’d still be thankful for the memories,” McKinley said.

For weeks, News Center 7 has reported on Cincinnati-based Frisch’s money problems.

The company has not paid more than $4 million in rent on several properties.

News Center 7 was in court this week when the property owner asked the judge to approve evicting Frisch’s from four restaurants in Montgomery County.

Several Frisch’s restaurants around the Miami Valley have already closed including, Springfield, Troy, Kettering, and Middletown.

As the well-known chain continues to shut down, customers look to relive some of their memories and have their favorite meal one last time.

Keri Stewart waited more than 30 minutes in the drive-thru line to get chili.

“Get some chili for chili spaghetti. It was my mom’s favorite thing. She passed away two years ago. I just want to enjoy some,” Stewart said.

News Center 7 also spoke with an employee about his last few days here.

“I found my place here so it is sad that we’re shutting down,” Frisch’s cook Jason Davis said.

Davis told News Center 7 that they will continue to sell their food until they’re out.
