The crash was reported around 7:15 a.m. on state Route 343 near Swimming Pool Road in Miami Twp., Greene County. Two vehicles were involved after one went off the side of the road and crashed into a utility pole, causing the pole to hit the second vehicle.

Allisha Jarvis, of Xenia, said told our crew she was the at fault driver and was texting while driving, after dropping her kids off at school.

“I had texted my mother while driving. I was doing 65 (mph) in a 55 (mph zone) and I had a seizure on the way home. The last thing I remember was looking up, seeing a pole, and then after that I don’t remember anything,” Jarvis said.

Neither driver was seriously injured in the crash.

State troopers confirmed they are investigating distracted driving as a possible factor in the crash.

Jarvis said she just moved back to the area after living in Florida and has been in Greene County for only four days.

“I had to kick the door out just to get out of my car. Thankfully I am alive. Wear your seat belts,” she said.
