BEAVERCREEK — A local park has been vandalized and community members said they are outraged.
Park staff discovered extensive damage to the bathroom and concession stand at Rotary Park in Beavercreek on Saturday morning.

Pictures shared on social media showed that mirrors, sinks, and toilets, as well as the window at the concession stand, were destroyed.
“Repairing and replacing these items will incur significant costs for the city, amounting in thousands of dollars,” police stated.
Gigi Voiles still can’t wrap her head around why someone would destroy public restrooms like this.
“It’s very senseless,” she said. “I mean, it is just absolutely crazy to me.”
From April to July little league games happen at Rotary Park every weekend.
So Voiles and others try to take care of the park.
A volunteer at the park said he was angry when he came in to help Saturday morning and saw the damage.
“Well, I was mad, didn’t like it ... somebody coming in and destroying something that community uses. And it’s a nice amenity for the park, and it just really made me mad,” Bob Darden said.

Thankfully there are three additional bathrooms for people to use.
The damage could take weeks to fix.
“It’s a lot of trouble for everybody to go through because of what a couple of people did,” Darden said.
Anyone with information on the vandalism, including information on those responsible, is asked to contact the Beavercreek Police Department at (937) 426-1225.
