Tipp City Deputy Police Chief accused of OVI resigns

Tipp City Deputy Police Chief Stephanie Slepicka has resigned after being accused of OVI and being placed on paid administrative leave.

The Deputy Chief of Police in Tipp City is on paid administrative leave after being accused of OVI.

“Following an initial review of materials provided by the Troy Police Department regarding Tipp City Police Deputy Chief of Police Stephanie Slepicka alleged violation of Operating a Vehicle Impaired and Possession of Weapons While Intoxicated, there is sufficient evidence to support a thorough administrative investigation into the matter,” Tipp City Chief Gregory Adkins said in a statement.

News Center 7 requested the incident report and any body camera footage from the incident Wednesday morning. News Center 7 is waiting for those requests to be filled.

Slepicka’s paid administrative leave was effective immediately and she will remain on paid administrative leave until the “inquiry is completed and the level of disciplinary action taken against her is decided.”
