Tipp City native wins Flying Pig Marathon

CINCINNATI — A Miami Valley man has won the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati.

Despite rainy conditions, which prompted a temporary shelter-in-place order, the 25th annual Flying Pig Marathon kicked off at 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

Jason Salyer, 32, a Tipp City native finished the men’s race is first place.

Salyer graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 2009.

He ran the 26.2-mile marathon in 2 hours, 27 minutes and 10 seconds.
