A Dayton police report shows a 30-year-old woman was arrested in the 400 block of Bowen Street on a preliminary charge of endangering children around the time police were investigating a 1-year-old child, who had wandered away from a residence
Corina Shorter was taken into custody by police and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

INITIAL REPORT
An arrest was made after a child was found wandering in a diaper on Xenia Avenue in Dayton Tuesday.
Police said the child was found near the intersection of Xenia Avenue and Bowen Street.
According to investigators, the child left a home in the 400 block of Bowen before the child was found.

Police said the arrest is in connection to the child wandering away from the house, however didn’t release information on the relationship of that person to the child.
Police were at the home on Bowen around 2:30 p.m.
Children’s services was contacted and is investigating the incident, police said.
