The NWS said in a public information statement Wednesday morning that a “weak tornado” occurred in Preble County east of Eaton late Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday afternoon, the NWS confirmed the tornado was an EF0 tornado that traveled an estimated 1.45 miles.
The Preble County EMA said at this time it is aware of damage to two buildings with debris.
The EMA director told News Center 7 that they worked with firefighters to get a drone in the air, which is when they also noticed some damage to crops, including corn that had been laid down by the winds.
