Traffic stop leads to drug arrest of 2 Springfield women in Indiana

Indiana Traffic Stop Arrests Kortinee Glenn, left, and Brooklyn Wagner (PUTNAM COUNTY (INDIANA) JAIL)

Two Springfield women were caught with 15 pounds of suspected methamphetamine during an Indiana traffic stop police said.

Kortinee Glenn, 26, and Brooklyn Wagner, 23, both of Springfield, were arrested on suspicion of dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, according to a press release from the Indiana State Police Putnamville District.

The traffic stop occurred around 3 p.m. on westbound Interstate 70 in Greencastle.

Police found 15 pounds of suspected meth in 14 vacuum-sealed plastic bags after a search of a gray 2008 Mercury Mariner. It’s not clear who was driving the vehicle.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $30,000.

A K-9 unit responded after a trooper suspected possible criminal activity during the traffic stop, according to the release. The K-9 detected narcotics during a “free air sniff,” according to state police.

Both women were incarcerated in Putnam County Jail.
