Man found not guilty in Palisades Drive shooting

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @ 1:43 p.m. (June 7):

A man accused of shooting another man in January was found not guilty on all charges Thursday.

Andrew Howard was facing felonious assault, having weapons while under disability, burglary and child endangering charges, according to Montgomery County court records.

A jury trial began on Tuesday and wrapped up on Thursday around, said a court official.

The jury found Howard not guilty on all counts.

INITIAL REPORT:

The trial of a 33-year-old man who is accused of shooting another male on Palisades Drive back in January is scheduled to begin today.

FIRST REPORT: Arrest made after man, 21, shot in Harrison Twp.

Andrew Howard is charged with felonious assault in the January 2 shooting.

Deputies from Montgomery County were dispatched to the 1800 block of Palisades Drive to investigate a shooting and upon arrival, located a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the right calf.

The shooting victim, whose name was not released, was transported to Grandview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Howard was arrested the day after the shooting and arraigned on February 7.
