BEAVERCREEK — UPDATE @ 9:00 p.m. (Oct. 10):
A man accused of driving while intoxicated on I-675 and causing a deadly crash that killed a Wright State University student in 2019 is scheduled to appear in court next week.
According to court records, Ronald Myer is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 22 at 2:30 p.m. for a “change of plea and sentencing” hearing.
INITIAL REPORT:
A man accused of driving while intoxicated on I-675 and causing a deadly crash that killed a Wright State University student in 2019 is scheduled to go on trial in September.
Ronald Myer has pleaded not guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle while intoxicated for his accused role in the crash that killed killed 23-year-old Paige Patrick.

The crash happened on I-675 north near the Ohio 844/North Fairfield Road exit on June 21.
Traffic camera footage showed and police said that Myer entered the northbound highway going the wrong way from the Ohio 844 exit. Police said early in the investigation that alcohol was a suspected factor in the crash.

Prior to Myer’s indictment, former Greene County Prosecutor Stephen Haller sought the public’s help to determine what Myer may have been doing prior to the crash.
