Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers responded to reports of an out-of-control tractor along the Champaign and Clark County line Thursday evening.

OSHP troopers along with Catawba Police officers received initial reports around 7:25 p.m. of a runaway tractor in the area of State Routes Four and 54, according to State Highway Patrol dispatchers.
Troopers told News Center 7 Thursday night the tractor started traveling on State Route 4 in Catawba, knocking down both wires and power poles.
A caller told 911 Clark County dispatchers the farm vehicle damaged power lines.
“It took out multiple power lines,” he told dispatchers. “I mean, there’s power lines laying all over the ground and everything.”
Images from the scene show both Mechanicsburg firefighters and state troopers in the area and a green tractor was at a stop along the Champaign/Clark County line.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
