TROTWOOD — Trotwood-Madison City Schools have chosen its next superintendent.

The board of education voted on Thursday night to name Marlon Howard as the district’s superintendent.

Howard has been serving as the interim superintendent since June when Dr. Reva Cosby resigned from the position.
Howard has been with the district for over 25 years and has “already made significant strides, including addressing the district’s culture.”
“Mr. Howard’s unwavering commitment to Trotwood-Madison and his vision for our schools make him the right leader for this next chapter,” Board President Sonja Cherry said. “His leadership over the past six months has already moved us forward, and his deep understanding of the district and its needs ensures that we are well-positioned for a successful future. We are confident in his ability to guide us in a positive and purposeful direction.”
Howard was raised by educators and said teaching is his foundation.
“I am deeply honored to serve as Superintendent of Trotwood-Madison City Schools,” Howard said. “This community has been my professional home for more than 25 years, and I am passionate about helping every student achieve their fullest potential. Together, we will work to ensure that every student receives the support and opportunities they need to succeed.”
