Trotwood police respond to crash, car fire with possible shots fired

UPDATE @ 6:55 p.m.

Witnesses say they were driving on Diamond Mill Road when a white vehicle sped past them and collided with a yellow Ford in the intersection with Wolf Creek Road.

The driver of the white vehicle reportedly tried to run from the scene but was held by witnesses until police arrived.

A female driver from the yellow vehicle was taken to a local hospital.

Witnesses also said after the vehicles collided, the white vehicle broke out in flames.

A third vehicle, a black car, arrived and reportedly fired shots toward the white vehicle before fleeing the area.

FIRST REPORT

A car fire has shut down the intersection of Diamond Mill and Wolf Creek roads, and just prior to that report, Montgomery County authorities were responding to a reported shooting in the same area.

Trotwood police and other jurisdictions responded to a shooting reported around 5:45 p.m. The first officer on scene found a vehicle on fire and called for back up.
