PREBLE COUNTY — Twin Valley South schools were on a brief lockdown this afternoon as deputies investigated an incident involving a vehicle possibly involved in a Miami County shooting incident, according to authorities.

The lockdown has been lifted, school officials said.

Investigators said a person is in custody after the suspect vehicle pulled in the parking lot of the school around 2:30 p.m.

Miami County deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Ginghamsburg Frederick and Peters Road  southwest of Tipp City around 1:15 p.m., records show.

Dispatch records indicated there were no reports of injuries.

We’re working to learn the name of the person in custody.
