BUTLER COUNTY — Two people were arrested after a Butler County drug bust resulted in the recovery of a large amount of marijuana, firearms and cash.
On March 15, Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics taskforce, along with several other regional police departments and the Federal Bureau of Investigations conducted nine search warrants on residences related to an alleged violent drug tracking organization operating in Butler County, according to a release.
The release said that the group was suspected to be involved with a large drug seizure in June 2021 and a deadly shooting in Sept. 2021.

The searches resulted in the recovery of around 700 pounds of marijuana, which has an estimated street value of $2 million according to the release.
Ten firearms, multiple vehicles and over $50,000 were also found during the searches.
Vince Sanford, 43, of Hamilton was arrested for felony trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs.

John Andrews Jr., 36, of Hamilton was arrested and charged with several federal felony drug and firearm-related offenses.
The investigation is ongoing, according to the release.
