SPRINGFIELD — UPDATE @ 6:45 p.m. (April 8):

A 32-year-old man was fatally shot in a double shooting early Saturday in the 1500 block of West Clark Street.

He was identified as Raimundo Punnett, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy has been performed, but coroner’s officials were not able to release further information.

Sarah Shannon, who identified herself as Punnett’s fiancee, said he was from New York and had only been in Springfield a short time. He was brought to the coroner’s office on Saturday.

A second person was shot, reportedly a woman, but Springfield police this evening said there would be no information coming on that person’s name and condition before Monday.

No suspect information has been released either.
