Two injured, one cited in two-vehicle crash in Darke County

One person was cited and two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Weavers Ft. Jefferson Road.

A 1997 Ford F-150, driven by Robin Hamlin, 59, of Arcanmum, was traveling south on U.S. 127, stopped in traffic and waiting to turn east onto Weavers Ft. Jefferson Road, according to a release.

Hamlin was then struck in the rear by a 2008 Dodge Avenger, driven by David V. Printz, 17, of Arcanum, which was also traveling south on U.S. 127.

Jessica Campbell, 30, of Palestine, a passenger of the Ford F-150 and Printz were both treated at the scene, the release stated. Hamlin and a juvenile passenger were not injured.

Printz was cited for assured cleared distance ahead.

Darke County deputies, along with New Madison Fire and Tri Village Rescue assisted at the accident.
