TROTWOOD — UPDATE @12:05 p.m. (Dec. 17):
Angel Childers’ death has been ruled an accident, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. Her death was caused by complications of blunt force injuries.
UPDATE @ 10:07 a.m. (Dec. 16):
The second person who died following a crash last Wednesday in Trotwood initially “refused medical treatment,” Trotwood police said.
Angel Childers died at Grandview Medical Center Friday night.

“After Ms. Childers fled the scene and was later located she refused medical treatment,” said Capt. Dan Heath with the Trotwood Police Department. “After Ms. Childers was brought to the police station for questioning, when she collapsed and it was determined that she was in distress she was removed to the hospital by paramedics.”
The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has not released a cause or manner of Childers’ death.

A second person has died following a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on state Route 49 near Wolf Creek Pike in Trotwood.
Crash victim Angel Childers, who was in her mid-30s, was taken Grandview Medical Center, where on Friday evening she died of her injuries on Friday evening, her family said. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office said they did not yet have her body, but that her death was reported to them.
Charles Jones, 39, of Dayton, was pronounced dead at the scene, Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger said.

A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on state Route 49 near Wolf Creek Pike in Trotwood.
The victim was identified as Charles Jones, 39, of Dayton, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.
At least one person has been taken to the hospital. It is not clear how many people were injured in the crash nor the status of their injuries.
The crash was reported on state Route 49 north just before 6 a.m. A vehicle caught fire following the crash, and two people were reportedly trapped.
About 40 minutes later, a second crash was reported in the area on Olive Road and Wolf Creek Pike when a car ran ran a red light.
