UD President, Eric Spina, announced March 20 that the May commencement will be postponed.
"Simply put, it is inconceivable to public health authorities that it would be safe to gather 11,000 students and 3,000 employees at the UD campus any time through early May," Spina said in a taped message to the university.
A later commencement date has yet to be decided.
