UPDATE: Driver hurt after semi-fire on I-75 SB in Harrison Twp.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — UPDATE @ 9:50 a.m.:

The two right lanes have reopened on southbound I-75 near Needmore Road.

UPDATE @8:05 a.m.

A driver suffered minor injuries after a semi fire on Interstate 75 early Thursday morning.

As reported on News Center 7 Daybreak, deputies and Harrison Township firefighters responded just before 2 a.m. to reports of a semi-fire on I-75 SB at Needmore Road.

ODOT cameras showed the semi full of flames when firefighters arrived. The fire is now out.

A person suffered minor injuries and it took firefighters 45 minutes to extinguish the fire, Harrison Township Fire Chief Mike Crist told News Center 7.

The contraflow lane is back open on I-75 SB, but the right lanes remain closed.

Crist says there is significant cleanup.

Butler Township and Dayton firefighters helped provide mutual aid.

Traffic continues to exit off I-75 SB at Needmore.
