The decision to publish on Facebook the home addresses and school route information for every student in the Urbana City Schools, has riled parents.
Urbana YES, which touts itself as a pro-education and pro-district group, backed the bond issue for new schools that passed in November 2014.
Friday night, some parents and guardians told WHIO-TV's James Buechele that more consideration and thought should happened before making such a decision to publish.
Others said they worry their children won't be safe now that the addresses and school transportation information is available for anyone to see on social media.
Superintendent Charles Thiel said the same information is on the district website and there's "always the risk of somebody doing something evil."
The lists will not be taken off the school website, he said.
