USPS hosting annual ‘Operation Santa;’ volunteers needed to adopt letters

With Christmas just around the corner, the United States Postal Service has opened registration for its annual Operation Santa program.

People across the country now have the chance to help fulfill the holiday wishes of children and families in need by registering to adopt letters.

“Hundreds of thousands of letters are written to the USPS Operation Santa program every year in hopes of being adopted,” the USPS said.

Letters will be available for adoption beginning Nov. 29. Family names and addresses are redacted.

Anyone wanting to adopt a letter can click here to register.
