Driver, 88, crashes into Jackson Center post office, administrative building

JACKSON CENTER, Shelby County — The Jackson Center village administrative building and post office were struck today by a car.

The car struck the side of the post office, then backed away, down an alley and struck a traffic sign. The car continued in reverse, striking a second traffic sign and the village office around 11:10 a.m.

The driver, identified as Alvin Young, 88, of Jackson Center, was not injured.

NORTHERN BUREAU: Man injured, hospitalized after shooting at Piqua house

No one inside the building was injured in the crash.

Both buildings sustained minor damage.
